Event Details

A rare chance to see historic water management on the Queen’s private land at the end of the Long Water at Hampton Court.  The royal water-meadows, dating from the sixteenth century, have recently been restored by Historic Royal Palaces and the Environment Agency.  We shall be accompanied by Jason Debney (Thames Landscape Strategy), Rebecca Law (Project Manager), and Nick Garbett (HRP ecologist).  We will also visit the ice-house, the view of the Palace from the end of the Long Water, and the Shire Horse stables.

Meet on the Hampton Wick side of Kingston Bridge, just inside Kingston Gate

Parking: No parking on the site, but on-street parking in Hampton Wick

Public Transport: South-West trains from Waterloo via Wimbledon to Hampton Wick Station
